Hey LaMissTenn
I promise this one will not be as long as the last one I did, just a few reminders and dates to keep in mind as we approach the lovely month of June, along with a few other random notes.
Cabinet training was this weekend. I think it's safe to say that there were a few kinks in the plan and it did not quite go according to schedule the way it was supposed to. There is nowhere to place the blame that would be fair, so I'd just like to thank the Cabinet members who were in attendance (Chassidy, Mickey, Brandy, Bobby, Tommy, Robert, Michael, Todd & Lisa). You all showed great dedication to your position.
Also, this weekend the Cabinet selected a Cabinet Director who will be working as a communication liaison between the board and cabinet. I am proud to announce that this year's Cabinet Director is Mickey DuPont from Northwestern State University.
I'd also like to take a moment to proclaim that I have decided to name a Secretary/Treasurer's Outstanding Cabinet Member to be awarded when a Cabinet member goes above and beyond their duties and responsibilities. This honor is awarded today to your District Technology Chair, Michael Arcement. Michael went out of his way this weekend to get to training after his ride bailed on him at the last minute. He has also been busy designing the layout for the website and posting files for feedback to the Cabinet reflector. Thanks for you hard work, Michael, and keep up the great work!
