Good Morning, LaMissTenn!

Just a quick few notes and reminders, but first, some new news hot off the presses.....

We need an OTIC chair asap! For those of you who do not know what OTIC means, it is an acronym for On To International Convention. This is the person responsible for planning a successful LMT delegation and participation at ICON every year. Last year, you may recall that your current governor was in this position, and she did a great job of getting everyone registered on time, getting everyone to Orlando on time, and getting those fantastic goody packets on time as well. (Can you believe I just complimented Becca being on time for all those things??)

Anyway, the distirct board needs someone who is interested in taking on this responisiblity asap because registration for ICON will be due to International very early in May. This means that we have a lot to get done in just one month. ICON itself is fairly early this year compared to the past as well, so I hope everyone is getting pumped up and excited about visiting Indy!

If you are interested in applying for OTIC, you need to email in a brief application to me and Becca no later than 6pm on Wednesday, because the board would like to discuss applicants and hopefully appoint no later than Wed night. Please email any questions you have to either of us as well and we will do our best to answer them.

Other reminders:
-Cabinet applications are due May 5 to lmt_sec_treas@yahoo.com, and you will be asked to attend training on May 24 in Baton Rouge if you are appointed
-LTG applications for Bayou South and Delta Central are due April 18
-UL is hosting Christmas in April on April 12, starting at 8am...dress ready to work, lunch is provided. Contact UL President Rani for info at Rani_garry@usgs.gov
-NSU will be helping out at the Crisis Pregnancy Center Banquet on April 24 from 530pm until around 9pm. Contact NSU President Laurie Brown for info at 318-352-4952 or 318-663-4276 or demonckipres@yahoo.com
-LSU Picnic and Banquet will be held April 26, banquet reservations are due April 10
