Greetings, LaMissTenn!

Sorry that you have not heard from me in a while, but things have been quite busy between monthly reports, Tioga prep, and getting the district directory together. I would like to give a special shout out to all the clubs who were so prompt on getting their information to me. Thanks a ton to those who did not wait until the very last minute, for those that did (and you know who you are) thanks for getting back to me nonetheless! :)

I'd like to congratulate the following club members of the month for September, as reported by your club boards. They are as follows:
ULL - Brittany Guillory
LSU - Chassidy DuPont
UNO - Dan Parker
La Tech - Missy Brennan
NSU - Latonya Coleman
Louisiana College - Jessica George

Thanks to all of you for your hard work and congratulations!

The following active clubs are missing MRF's for September:
Loyola University
University of Tennessee at Martin
University of Memphis

Please get those in asap so we can record the wonderful things you are doing for our district!

That is all I have to report today, I hope you all have a good weekend and remember, only one more week before TIOGA 2003....have you got your TOGA yet?? :)

Hi Everyone... happy Wednesday!

Club officers are going to be sent e-mails regarding the status of your Back to School Mailing. If you haven't gotten them by now, don't worry-- there was a problem with the mail at Circle K International. You should be getting them shortly. If you have any questions on the status of the packet, or on any of the contents of the packet- you can contact a district board member, particularly the LTGs. We've all gotten our packets in advance, so they are willing and ready to answer any questions!

Tioga is coming so fast... I can't wait! I can't mention enough how important it is to let all of your members (not just the ones you think would be interested) know about Tioga. The registration deadline has passed, YES-- but you can still register! And $45 is still a great price... so don't let that discourage any of you. Remember, Tioga is primarily a fun, team-building experience for all-- but it's also a great asset for your clubs.. I can't think of any better way to show new members the very essence of Circle K-- and all the work in planning the event is already done for you!

On that note, Governor's Shoutout today goes to the entire Tioga Crew. Bobby Schroeder has done an incredible job (and the workload is far from over) planning this weekend. Major props to him-- and I'm sure you will all see there what I'm talking about now. Thanks also to Brandy Bowen and Tommy Stephenson, on the assist-- and Amanda Fortenberry and other alumni, as well as the team captains-- the list goes on and on. You know who you are, if you're helping-- THANK YOU.

International Corner goes to our Trustee Doug Smith from O-Hi-O. You will all be meeting Doug in just under two weeks, at Tioga--- so make sure you get to meet him then, but you can still meet him now. IF you need any questions answered or whatever from him about the International Board or committees-- ask him now so he will be prepared to answer your questions at Tioga. Doug's information can be found on the District website.

That's it.. I'm off to a Loyola Circle K meeting!

Hi Everyone!

It's amazing to me how in sync our District is... by that- I mean, it's incredible to me that virtually everyone who sent me a MRF sent it at the EXACT same time. So-- for the 6 or 7 that came in at the same time, I'm sure there are at least 6 or 7 more that couldn't. If you tried to send it to me and my account was over quota (Alison's too), please re-send them. We'll be contacting all of you that we didn't get MRFs from, so if you're unsure whether we received it or not you'll be hearing from us soon :)

We are now in October, and October is Key 2 College Month. We really need to be targeting Key Clubbers this month (now is when they are trying to make their decisions for what college to attend next year, if Seniors) and giving them help by answering questions about school, college life, and Circle K. For more information or help with how to run a K2C program in your area, contact District K-Family (SOAP) chair, Brandy Bowen (queenb323@mailcity.com).

Also, I know many of you do Zoo Boo or Boo @ The Zoo, etc.. but keep in mind also that UNICEF has Trick or Treat for UNICEF (as well as Trick or Treat for IDD), and the Kiwanis Family has made a pledge to continue to raise funds this year for IDD. For more information about IDD (Iodine Deficiency Disorder) contact District Service Chair, Lauren Call, at lcall@uno.edu

That is all.. Have a good Week, everyone!

Hello LaMissTenn!

Welcome to the 5th of the month, also known as the day to submit club and cabinet MRF's. If you're reading this and you have not yet done that, what are you waiting for??? Kudos to Laurie Jackson and Celina Johnson at Louisiana College for being the first (and only) club to submit a September report. Also to Michael Arcement for being the first (and only) Cabinet member to submit as of now! You guys rock my socks!

IF any of you are interested, Ryan Toth, our International Vice President, has just published his first issue of International Speaking. This is a bulletin written and published by the International Board. Click here to check it out.

If you are a club president and I have not received your information for the directory, you will be getting an email from me soon. The directory is set to go to the presses on Friday, October 10, which means I need it NO LATER than Wednesday, October 8. Please try to get that in asap.

That is all for my Sunday afternoon update, hope you all have a great week!
